6/26/11
2010/2011 term will come to the end just a matter of days. During 2010/2011 term, the club has achieved President's Distinguished Club. Thank you to all members who contributed the DCP points as well as to all new club members. Not forgetting to all members who doing speech projects as well as taking up role play during the meetings as well as toastmasters event.
The new exco for 2011/2012 has been formed to take up the new helm next term. Thank you to all past officers for all the contribution and hardwork.

Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest for Area K1 and K2 was held at Mattel Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MMSB) on 9/5. Vijayan, Azman and Chai has done the club proud by representing the club at area level for both contest. Vijayan, Azman and Chai did their best during the contest. And for the first time, Entegris Kulim Toastmasters Club will have representative to compete at Division level where Azman and Chai emerged as 1st runner up for the respective contest. Job well done to Azman and Chai.

On 8/25, Entegris Kulim Toastmasters Club conducted the Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests. The reponse from the members were very good and the number of the contestants were very good. The speeches were very good and the evaluations were good too. The results are as the following.

The Champion and the 1st Runner Up for each contests will be representing the club for contest at Area K1. Good Luck to Vijayan, Chai and Azman.

On 8/17, Joint Installation Dinner for Division K was held at Politeknik Kulim. And during the dinner, the club officers were installed gracefully. For the first time in the club history, the club was awarded with President Distinguished Club. Congratulation to Entegris Kulim Toastmasters Club.
5/23/10
On 5/19, the Entegris Kulim Toastmasters Club successfully conducted the first election to nominate the office bearer for 2010/2011 term. The election went successfully and it was done in orderly manner. The AG was on site to witness the very first election the club conducted.
And on the same day, the club president, Vijayan Sinnasamy, CC, CL, completed his 10th speech project from advance communication manual for his ACB. Vijayan Sinnasamy created the history for the club to become the first ACB. Congratulation to Vijayan. With the ACB, the club has earned the sixth DCP point.
5/01/10
In April 2010, three members have completed Competent Communication Manual and one member completed Competent Leadership manual. Congratulation to the four of them.
And in April 2010, the club has achieved 5 out of 10 DCP goals. The club will strive to get two more goals for Select Distinguished Club before June.

Entegris Kulim Toastmasters Club held the very first International Speech and Table Topic Contests on 3/10 at Entegris Training Room. There were 5 contestants for the International Speech Contest, and 6 contestants for Table Topic Contest. All the contestants delivered their very best in both contests. Congratulation to all the participants for taking part in the contest.
The event went very well and thank you to the Contest Chair, Organizing Chair, SAAs, Time Keepers, Tally Counter, Cameraman and also the panel of Judges for making the event successful.
Every contest, there must be a winner.
For International Speech Contest, Mohammad Zamani Asmat came out as the winner delivering the speech titled No More Excuses. Chai Eng Leng came out as the 1st runner up with the speech titled Living a Full Life and Aliza M Razali came out as the 2nd runner up with the speech titled 3R.

For Table Topic Contest, the contestants were required to talk for 2 minutes based on the topic given on the spot. The topic is “What would you do if the time stops for 24 hours”. All the contestants gave their best to come up with the story or narrative about the topic.
For Table Topic Contest, Norhayati Yusoff came out as the winner; Shemala Ramiah came out as the 1st runner up and Azman Ahmad come out as the 2nd runner up.

Entegris Kulim Toastmasters Club marked a new milestone on 12/23/09. For the first time, the club unveiled the club's banner to the members during the club meeting. Mr. Chai, the Plant Manager was given the honor to unveil the banner. This banner will be placed in the in front of the meeting room for the upcoming meetings.
During this meeting, Mr. Yeap Kian Yong, ACB our Area Governor is given the honor to give out Toastmaster pin to the members who have completed CC#5. The pins were given out to Chai Eng Leng, TM, Mohammad Zamani Asmat, TM and Azman Ahmad, TM. The others completed CC#5 are Gopalakrishnan A/L P.Veerapan, TM, Azlina Jaaffar, TM, Abdul Hadi Abdul Hamid, TM and Aliza Binti Mohd Razali, TM, were not present during the meeting.

Entegris Kulim Toastmasters Club is very lucky to be invited by Intel Kulim Toastmasters Club to join Ho Ho Ho N4 Let's Party! on 12/16/09 at KM3, MPH. Around ten club members attended the Ho Ho Ho N4 Let's Party!, and everybody really had fun. The room, the food, the host and everything were really good. At the end of the party, everybody went home with Christmas gift. Thanks to Intel Kulim Toastmasters Club.

Two members, Mohammad Zamani Asmat and Gopalakrishnan A/L P.Veerapan already achieved 1/2 CC since they have completed 5 CC Speech Projects recently. Mohammad Zamani Asmat and Gopalakrishnan A/L P.Veerapan are among the members targeted to complete the 10 CC Speech Project this year for the DCP goals. We have line up other members for 2 additional CC and 1 AC. The club is on track to acheive at least Distinguished Club this year. But who knows, the club might achieve Select Distinguished Club. Keep up the good work, and keep the momentum going.

The club has appointed Umadevi Marimuthu and Aliza M Razali to be in the officer line up. Umadevi Marimuthu is the new Secretary to replace Lee Mee Lin who is unable to serve the club due some personal matters. And Aliza M Razali is the new SAA to replace Isahar Cha who needs to concentrate on more pressing matters. Thank you to Isahar Cha and Lee Mee Lin for the service rendered.

Area N4/N5 Join Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests 2009/2010 was held at Politeknik Kulim on 9/13/09. We are very proud that two of our members competed at Area N4 level. Vijayan Sinnasamy, CC took part in Evaluation Contest, and emerged as 2nd runner up. The winner for the contest is Sherman Chew from Intel Toastmasters, and the first runner up is SH Tan from MDT. And Norhayati Yusof, TM took part in Humorous Speech Contest, and emerged as 2nd runner up too. The winner for the contest is Michael Rajesh from Intel Toastmasters, and the first runner up is Veloo Doraisamy from MDT. Congratulation to both Vijayan and Norhayati. And our VPE, Mohammad Zamani Asmat, TM also contributed his time and energy to be the SAA for the day as well as the impromptu cameraman. And thank you to the club members who turned up to give the supports.

Entegris Kulim Toastmasters Club held the first Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests on 8/17/09. There were 6 contestants for the Humorous Speech Contest and 5 contestants for Evaluation Contest. Congratulation to the winners and thank you to the panel of judges, test speakers and audiences. Vijayan Sinnasamy, CC and Norhayati Yusof, TM will be representing Entegris Kulim Toastmasters Club in Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests at Area N4 level which will be held in September.
